The programmE

Experience working in the United States of America this summer.

Meet people from all over the world, improve your skills, travel and enjoy an incredible adventure. >

You will spend 7 to 9 weeks at a Camp Summers USA camp, between mid-June and mid-August. You will work doing what you love most, make friends for life and discover places you will always remember.

Types of Camps

We work with more than 200 Camps all across the United States to find a Camp that matches your skills and personality. Here are the different types of Camps

Traditional camps

The vast majority of the Camps we work with are traditional. We call them traditional because they are camps with wooden cabins in a wooded area with incredible sports and water facilities. They usually have a lake on site and all kinds of programmes for the children, from performing arts to water skiing!

Special needs

These are Camps designed for people with disabilities to take part in activities, and many of the activities are similar to those at a traditional Camp. You do not need specific experience for this role, just a desire to learn and to help. Most Camps provide specific on-site training. It is very rewarding to work helping people with special needs!

All Boys/Girls

These are traditional Camps that are for boys only or girls only. They offer their campers exactly the same experiences as traditional Camps.

Faith Based

Most of these Camps have a Christian or Jewish orientation. They offer an experience similar to traditional Camps but put some emphasis on faith. You do not necessarily have to practise the religion to work at them, but it is essential that you respect their beliefs.

What is a day at Camp like?

No two days at Camp are the same! But here is a basic outline of what your day will look like:

8:00 AM
Wake Up!

Time to get up for a new day. Get ready for the activities.

8:30 AM
Breakfast Time!

Pancakes, waffles, French toast: you will have breakfast with your campers to build up your energy for the activities

9:00 AM
Clean Up!

Time to help your Campers tidy your cabin!

10:00 AM - 12:00PM
Activity Time!

Archery, football, tennis, etc. Activities with the Campers.

12:00 PM
Lunch Time!

Time to eat and recharge. You will discover loads of Camp songs with your campers

1:00 PM
Rest Hour!

Rest in the cabin with your campers before the afternoon activities.

2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
More Activities!

Pool, lake, basketball, etc. Afternoon activities with the campers.

6:00 PM
Dinner Time!

Pizza party? Taco night? Enjoy it with your Campers

7:00 PM
Evening Activity!

From a talent show to a magician or a campfire at nightfall. Every evening will be different!

9:00 PM
Lights Out!

Your campers off to sleep! A fun scary story or a few jokes before bed!

10:00 PM
Night Off!

If it is your night off, you may have it from after dinner or after the evening activity. It is the ideal time to plan your post-Camp trip.

700+ Camps all across the United States

We work with more than 700 Camps and you can receive offers from any of them. During your application process we will look for a place that suits your skills.

Summer nights in cabins

Most Camps have beautiful wooden cabins in unique locations. You will sleep with your campers and, if you are an Activity leader, you may share a cabin with other colleagues. It will be your home for the summer!

Find the perfect position for you.

Teach your favourite sport or activity, or work as a general counselor

General Counselor

Become a Camp counselor.

You will take your campers from activity to activity and can even join in with them! You will have a very close relationship with them, it is like being an older brother or sister to your group.

Activity Leader

Teach your favourite activity or sport at Camp.

You will be responsible for leading activities in your specialist area, teaching the campers anything from drama, tennis, football, water skiing, etc. After your specialist activity, you will be in your cabin with your campers helping the General Counselors.
